How it all started

A long time ago in a land far away, the 27th May 2006 in Thailand, a group of family and friends took a 7-hour minibus journey to Sangklaburi, in the Kanchanaburi province to carry out our first tree-planting project. We partnered with a local organisation, Baan Unrak School and Children’s Home.
The ‘Baan Unrak Forest and Nursery Project’ was supporting tree planting in rural Thailand and with the support of XL Results Foundation Magazine, we supplied 500 fruit and teak trees to the orphanage. The long walk up the hill (my legs still remember it) was so worthwhile when we saw the smiles from children and local villagers who helped to plant the trees on that day.

What we do
Changing the world one tree at a time. We work with communities to create woodlands and forests to help combat climate change for a better future. We have planted around the world to help areas fight back against deforestation, create wildlife habitat and build natural environments.

Wellbeing
Trees can help tackle climate change and have a positive effect on our mental wellbeing. We’ve seen how beneficial this can be and created project to support veterans’ welfare with nature-based therapy courses.

Education
Through experience, training and education we are increasing peoples’ confidence, horticultural and landscaping skills, building employment skills and boosting emotional and mental wellbeing.

Community
Together we are making a difference. Over 3 million trees planted to combat climate change because of your support. Find out more about what we’re doing or join in your local tree planting projects.
WE HAVE EXPERIENCE
Our Projects
It’s not just about planting trees for climate change. PATT Foundation works to support local communities by helping people gain new skills and learn more about the nature around us.
PATT works to take action against climate change by planting trees whilst engaging veterans on nature-based therapy. By creating the right partnerships we can implement projects that make a difference to the environment, and the mental health of our service men and women.
