On Saturday 6th May, King Charles III will be coronated in a ceremony at Westminster Abbey, with festivities planned up and down the country.

To mark the royal Coronation, The Big Help Out has been launched as a nationwide initiative to encourage people to try volunteering as well as raise awareness of volunteering opportunities across the UK. As part of the King’s Coronation, the biggest volunteering event of 2023 has been planned for Monday 8th May with over 200 national charities and community groups taking part to inspire charitable actions during the Coronation weekend and encourage future volunteering.

At PATT Foundation we are encouraging people to try volunteering in our greenhouses in Hull, growing trees for future community forest projects or supporting our local food banks by planting and caring for the rows of fresh produce currently being grown. Even if you haven’t tried gardening before and don’t know what a trowel is for, the PATT nursery team are experienced and ready to teach you new skills in growing greens and horticulture.

If you are interested in volunteering for PATT Foundation, you can apply here or alternative email the Admin Team at admin@pattfoundation.org to find out more information about our community volunteering opportunities.
